Bio - San Francisco industrial quartet Marrow (Erin Fortes, vocals & keyboards Jeremy Fortes, vocals & keyboards David Earl, producer Daniel Berkman, guitar & synth drums) formed in 2005 after completing a successful 5 year run of their "industrial shock rock opera", SCABARET! An 80's sound in a 21st century wrapper, Marrow is heavily influenced by and appreciative of the music that shaped their youth (including Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Depeche Mode and Aphex Twin). However, they also bring a formal classical training to the table, as well as a passion for the melodies found in early jazz, which makes their sound completely their own. Their album, "Quiet Desperation", hits retail on September 16, 2008 and is playfully being called the "feel bad album of the year". "Quiet Desperation"showcases the different caverns of the "prison of the mind" revealing those hiding behind their own fears and doubts, or, in turn, playing the victim, taking on the roles of those hidden. They're supporting the effort with the inauguration of The Society for the Advancement of Despair (SAD). At this fictional facility, listening to Marrow is just one way to embrace your well earned sadness.
